🏥 Global statistik visar ökade stroke i yngre människor 2021. 2019 drabbades ungefär 25 700 personer och 5 800 avled av en stroke (hjärninfarkt eller hjärnblödning). 74 procent av de som insjuknade var 70 år eller äldre. Nästan fyra procent av de som insjuknade var yngre än 50 år. I 25 procent av strokefallen dog personen inom 28 dagar efter insjuknandet. Uppgifterna om insjuknande i stroke är hämtade från Socialstyrelsens patientregister och dödsorsaksregister 2006–2019 och är bearbetade vid Folkhälsomyndigheten. Deskriptiv statistik redovisas som antal insjuknanden, och antal insjuknanden per 100 000 invånare, i stroke för personer 15 år och äldre.
